Reliable moving

What really stood out was their customer service — always ready to help. I was also surprised by how affordable the whole move was. Their fair pricing didn’t compromise on quality. This is a professional and reliable moving company. Everything arrived safely and on time.

Long-distance move from Houston, TX to Chicago, IL

Great on pickup, but destroyed much of our stuff by delivery.

I never write reviews, but this was so bad I'm going to take the time to do so. Do NOT hire this company for a long-term move. Had an absolutely horrible experience. Pick up was excellent - movers were very careful wrapping our belongings and positioning them in the truck. Then it all fell apart. The truck took over two weeks to arrive at our destination (Texas to Illinois) and the communication was scant. When it arrived, almost all of our boxes were damaged, and much of our furniture. See my Google review for the pictures. They must have moved our belongings between multiple trucks, and in doing so they packed large heavy items on lighter ones, crushing them. Boxes marked fragile were broken open and arrived upside down. They lost a critical component of my son's bed, making it unusable. I could go on and on. The claims process to be reimbursed for damages is extremely challenging, and deliberately so. It would have been cheaper to just sell all my things and re-buy them after returning. Again, do not hire this company.

Long-distance move from San Antonio, TX to Tendoy, ID

Highly recommend

Jackson Movers recently helped me with my move to Idaho. They were very professional, friendly, and responsive. From beginning to end, they answered all my questions and adjusted to changes that I made at the last minute. Communication was great, with regular emails and texts to make sure I had all the information I needed to make the move successful.

Long-distance move from Round Rock, TX to Woonsocket, RI

Fraud alert ? ‼️

1) I was charged $743.74 more for alleged “extra space needed for 150cft” that wasn’t needed. I used to run dispatch for my truck driver friend on the weekends while in school. My stuff could easily fit in 300cft. I was charged for close to 800 cft. But my stuff was actually shoved into 300cft and I have pictures and video to show it

2) my furniture arrived completely beat up and destroyed

3) my furniture was indeed delivered by a company that wasn’t Jackson Movers, making the claim you’re NOT brokers a complete lie

4) was yelled at by billing person for trying to pay by calling/ emailing and texting

5) missed the 21-day mark and if I hadn’t been diligent about following up, wouldn’t have ever been on the schedule

6) rude movers who did not like me asking questions and huff and puff when I tell them where things go

7) completely destroyed my plants trying to park the truck and almost totaled my car

8) Demanded payment before even parking the truck

These are my true observations and I’ll be leaving honest reviews in all platforms with my pictures. I would not choose your company even for junk removal. Not to mention I was told I’d have a weekend delivery with a 48-hour heads up and I was given less than 24hours notice from an unknown caller who said my delivery would be 3 to 5 the next day. They showed up at 5:12 and started ordering me to pay and lock my 2 small and friendly dogs in a restroom. Delivery people completely destroyed and textured my newly installed flooring and scratched and stained my newly painted walls. One was on his phone the whole time while the other snapped “no” for every answer.

Long-distance move from Midlothian, TX to Las Vegas, NV

I can’t believe they get away with this SH$T

Where in the hell was this site when I was procuring a moving company? Although, I suppose it wouldn’t have mattered anyway, because like everyone else Jackson Movers showed up the day of our move -unexpected- tell us it’s going to be an extra $19,000 above our original Binding Estimate, even though we added no services, nor additional items to our inventory list. They count on the fact that you’re already stressed out to the max, vehicles are en route on a transporter, airline tickets are booked, house is totally packed, movers are booked weeks out, et cetera. It’s pretty pathetic really, and hindsight being the mother fuck@r it tends to be, only adds insult to injury.

Price went up from $12,500 to $29,900 -EVEN though I spent two hours on the phone with TRINITY RELOCATION SERVICES,- listing every stick of furniture, including measurements, as well as an exact count of every: box, tote, wardrobe box, guitar case, vacuum cleaner (s), and so on, DIDN’T ADD any additional services, nor any more items to our inventory.

If only I had listened to my gut and stuck to my guns. I initially told him to go ahead and pack it up and get out, but I reconsidered that all moving companies were booked weeks, if not months out, coupled with the aforementioned scenario, we decided ‘fu@k it, what else can we do?’

Long story a little bit shorter, they arrived a couple weeks after the date they told us they’d be here, dozens of expensive items were missing, almost everything was dinged, scraped, scratched, damaged, or just flat out broken, said they lost the inventory list, had us redoing a new inventorylist manually, as they brought the destroyed boxes in, which -in hindsight-was all just a ruse to distract us from the fact that they should’ve had an inventory list because how else would we cross reference our stuff? I feel like I’m beating a dead horse as pretty much every other review I’ve read on this site is exactly our story, a complete fuck!ng nightmare!! I read a review where someone mentioned creating a class section lawsuit against Jackson Movers;I am all for that, as they need to be held accountable for all their transgressions: the unsavory business practices, the theft, destroyed heirlooms, just an overall disrespect for everyone’s possessions, whether priceless or not.

In closing, even though I selected FULL COVERAGE insurance,I Had to spend days filling out their bullsh!t claim packet listing: purchase price, purchase date, replacement price, mothers maiden name, et cetera, they had the audacity to offerus $75 when over $50,000+ of damage and theft occurred.

The sad part about this whole thing is Due to the fact we all contracted with ABC relocation group and had no idea Jackson Movers were coming, there was no way to verify if they were a reputable company or not, especially when it was day of move, you’re already frazzled ,it’s not likely we’re going to do a BBB check on them, so all of us are realizing in hindsight, how bad we all were screwed. by the way, Did anybody find a good litigation attorney to go after Jackson Movers with? I think they count on the fact that we’re all leaving Texas, and won’t be able to pursue the matter legally, as it has to take place in Dallas county. They have this scam perfected; every freaking aspect of it. They totally pray on the fact that we are operating under: duress, high levels of stress, upheaval, just dealing with a frantic situation, and we pay the price. How can we right this terrible wrong? Please advise, somebody has to get these guys shut down and get some resolution for us all.

Long-distance move from Austin, TX to West Orange, NJ

Worst service ever

I’ve moved all over the world and I’ve never had such appalling service.

After an initial quote of $7,000, when arrived and then told us the quote was too low and literally doubled the quote to $15,000. We had no choice because we were set to move with flights booked so we had to go with it. They also charged us for packing and boxes. But that wasn’t the worst, when everything arrived two weeks later not seven days later, everything had been moved from multiple trucks to other trucks, nearly every box was crushed and damaged, TV was broken. My motorcycle was scratched. They left the bolts for the bed behind in the old house so now I have to fly back to Texas to get them. The stuff they packaged (and charged me for) they just threw into large boxes with no packing, like speakers, pottery, etc all of which are damaged.

Then there’s a small print which says the insurance only covers $.60 per pound of item, regardless of what happened so even though we’re filing a claim for so much damage we’re likely to get very little back.

Also some of the money had to be paid in unmarked postal orders on delivery which seems a total IRS scam.

Avoid, avoid, avoid, it’s a scam

***Do not use***

Had a horrible broker (Safe Ship Movers in FL, they suck too) was quoted $3400 for a 2bdrm trailer home. Was told adding a few boxes would only increase $200-300. Ended up with final bill of $7200. We were hounded for money every single step. Once they have your deposit they will nickel and dime you every chance. Pickup will be "it is more than quoted fee" "special packing fee". Once their sleezy meathooks have your items, in transit, "bigger truck needed fee" or "extra handling" fees. Upon delivery "extra stairs fees" or "too far to carry fees" Always threatening to not deliver unless paid. They lost 3 of our boxes, damaged several items, 6 months later, I can't even get them to honor their cheap .60 cents per lb insurance. This has been bad enough that I will warn everyone I can to not use.

Move

This company is dishonest. They provide low ball quotes and then at the last minute raise it, in my case by a factor of 3 ($9000 to $28,000). I had to vacate my property and had no choice but pay the difference. They then were late delivering and I had several damaged and missing items. I am in the claims process now but it is very complicated, apparently intentionally. Don’t use them!

Superb crew

Incredibly respectful and considerate, if you’re looking for movers, look no further! From quote to invoice, a great experience. Highly recommend working with Nick and Jennifer. I was recommended Jackson Movers and when I got on the phone with Nick, he was gracious and offered my a very fair price for helping me, even saying that he would only charge half that if they weren’t able to get the couch through the door.
